Roberta Sydney

After working for over 20 years in Corporate America, Ms. Sydney assumed control of her father’s real estate development business in 1997.  Prior to her involvement with Sydney Associates, Inc., Ms. Sydney held senior positions at such institutions as State Street Global Advisors, Leisure Technology (real estate developer of active adult communities), BayBank Mortgage Corp., and The Boston Company.  For over 40 years, Sydney Associates, Inc. and its predecessor organization, Sydney Construction Company has been the landlord of choice, developing, building, maintaining and managing quality residential, office and retail properties for long-standing, satisfied tenants throughout Massachusetts and, recently Nevada. 

Since inception, the company has developed over 9MM square feet of property.  Ms. Sydney is active in NAIOP, Wellesley College Alumnae and Harvard Business School Alumni, serving on the Program Committee, Development Outreach Council, and Community Action Partners group, respectively.  She is also a Commercial and Retail Council Member of the Urban Land Institute and is a member of Commercial Women in Real Estate, New England Women in Real Estate, The Boston Club, Women’s President Organization, and The Commonwealth Institute. 

Ms. Sydney received a BA in French from Wellesley College, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MS in Real Estate Development from MIT.

Mary Froehlich

Mary L. Froehlich joined Sydney Associates, Inc. in 2004 and leads the Property Management Group.  She oversees the management of a diverse portfolio which consists of office and retail space, as well as luxury multi-family apartments.  Given Mary’s extensive experience in managing mixed-use portfolios over the past 20 years and her strong track record for performance and integrity, she develops strong teams who earn respect and trust from tenants, customers, and vendors. 

Before joining Sydney Associates, Mary held executive positions with real estate industry leaders including The Bozzuto Group, Clark Realty Capital and Archstone-Smith.  Mary holds a bachelor's degree in Education from California State University, Chico.  She is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Massachusetts. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Woman’s Auxiliary of Hebrew SeniorLife and is also a member of BOMA and RHA.
